The aroma of this wonderful oil is similar to a blend of cinnamon and clove (because of its high Eugenol content). Cinnamon leaf produces a powerful broad spectrum anti-infectious and anti-fungal oil. Highly diluted, it can be an effective addition to tooth and gum care blends. Diffused it may be helpful in respiratory blends. Emotionally some authorities recommend it for feelings of isolation, loneliness and fear. It is also said to stimulate creativity. ?Less sensitizing than Cinnamon Bark oil, it can still be a skin irritant and possible sensitizer so make sure to use highly diluted. Use in an oil burner, in the bath or shower. ?WARNING: Please avoid use during pregnancy or with children under five. Cinnamon Leaf may induce menstruation or stimulate childbirth contractions. As mentioned above, it is a strong skin irritant. Avoid use of Cinnamon Leaf oil if you are on anti-coagulant therapy (blood thinners.)
